PWSAC began chum cost recovery at Wally Noerenberg Hatchery on 6/15 and has continued daily so far. Fish harvested on 6/18 averaged 8.1 pounds. Cost recovery is expected to continue daily as fish entry allows.

Main Bay Hatchery began sockeye cost recovery on 6/12.  Run entry has been steady and cost recovery fishing has continued regularly. The most recent average size was 4.2 pounds.

As of today, the total gillnet revenue goal is 40% complete.

PWSAC Cost Recovery Update

PWSAC began chum cost recovery at Wally Noerenberg Hatchery on 6/15, and harvest continued regularly through 6/23. Due to low run entry, cost recovery has been temporarily suspended to prioritize broodstock collection. Hatchery staff will continue to evaluate run entry daily.  Cost recovery operations at WNH will resume once sufficient fish are available to meet broodstock collection needs and cost recovery objectives.  An estimated 2,000 fish are currently available as brood, of the 228,000 goal.

Main Bay Hatchery began sockeye cost recovery on 6/12 and the sockeye revenue goal was achieved on 6/25.

As of today, the total gillnet revenue goal is 74% complete.
