Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation (PWSAC) is a private, non-profit hatchery association founded in 1974 by a local commercial fishermen’s organization to optimize Alaska’s wild salmon resources. PWSAC produces hatchery-born, ocean-raised wild salmon for the commercial, sport, personal use, and subsistence fisheries in the Prince William Sound and Copper River regions.

PWSAC is seeking a Salmon Hatchery Logistics Support Receiving Clerk—a key player in sustaining Alaska’s thriving salmon hatcheries. This position is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of something vital, ensuring that remote hatchery sites receive the critical supplies they need to operate effectively.

What You’ll Do

  • Accept, sort, and distribute freight efficiently.
  • Build pallets and work under CFR 49, 29, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Drive box vans and forklifts to move supplies.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs, making this a physically engaging role.
  • Obtain (or be willing to get within 30 days of hire) a forklift certificate and DOT physical to ensure safety and compliance.
