Fisheries Technicians: Fish Technicians perform duties which include facility repair and maintenance, fish rearing, harvest, egg take; to summarize, general hatchery labor with an Alaskan experience.
Fish Technician employment opportunities are available from February to November with varying project lengths and dates. Wages range begins with $10.00 per hour DOE with free room and board in modern, dorm-style facilities.
Food Service Cooks: Commissary staff prepares 3 meals/day, plus break time treats, utilizing a 4 week rotating menu. Daily cleaning of the kitchen and cafeteria common areas, plus routine clean-up of freezers and refrigerators are included duties. Must have an Alaska Food Worker’s Card.
Food Service Cook employment opportunities are available from February to November. Hourly wage ranges begin at $11.35 – $14.55 DOE with free room and board in modern, dorm-style facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS: FSC I FSC II FSC III
Maintenance Technicians: The Maintenance Technicians work closely with the hatchery maintenance staff in broad areas of preventative and routine maintenance, repair and improvement to the facilities, equipment and the various hatchery systems such as electrical, plumbing, and heating. Preferred qualifications include safe operation of hand and power tools, repair and maintenance experience, and a mechanical aptitude.
Maintenance Technician employment opportunities are available from June to April of the following year. Hourly wage range begins at $11.50/hour DOE with free room and board in modern, dorm-style facilities.
Responsibilities: Works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor in broad areas of preventative maintenance and routine repair, and improvement to the facilities, equipment and systems. Also functions as part of the hatchery operations team in fish culturing and harvest operations.
Wage and Benefits: Hourly wage range begins at $14.55 DOE. Current opening provides a benefit package which includes room and board, health and life insurance, generous annual leave, 403(b) retirement plan, work clothing allowance, and annual leave travel and relocation assistance.
